I don't really have hurt feelings, but let's pretend for a moment while we sing this very excellent new Flight of the Conchords song.
We Are Scientists was some good fun pop music a couple years ago but I never really expected them to make anything of themselves beyond one good showing. Due to the wonder of lala.com, I discovered their album Brain/Thrust/Mastery which came out earlier this year. It's as fun or more than With Love and Squalor and I have decided to test the lala embed feature out JUST FOR YOU. The entire album is really good. Don't stop here.
Also, lala is an interesting music service. You have it "match" all the music you have on your computer and it adds them to your "library" on lala.com. You can listen to all those songs over the web as many times as you like. In addition, you can "buy" songs that are only playable via the web (an album for $0.80 or so) or ACTUALLY buy drm-free mp3s for $0.80/track. Everything else that you haven't purchased is streamable in its entirety for free once. I definitely would NOT have gotten into it if I hadn't migrated to a new computer right when I learned about it. Now all my music is at home and I can still listen to it at work. You start with 50 free credits (1 credit/track) for stream-only tracks, plus 5 for every friend you invite.

I am really disappointed in Myspace and the use of captcha on login. I'm not a frequent user (I prefer Facebook), but will check every once and a while to see what my myspace friend Jenna Fischer is doing. That being said, I will be logging into myspace even less frequently due to the major inconvenience of trying to read letters on a funky background just to LOG IN.
